More puzzles to play
Two puppies are picking their way across a freshly plowed field, and the one in front, a little tricolor with white paws and a white blaze, has stopped to look straight at you. Its brown sibling is right behind, nose down and sniffing. It’s a small adventure caught in a single frame.
About this puzzle
A dog’s nose has somewhere around 300 million scent receptors, compared with about six million in a human, so a field of freshly turned soil is a whole world of information to a puppy. That’s why the one at the back can’t lift its head. There’s simply too much to smell.
In this photo the puppies stand on rich brown earth that stretches away in soft, blurry furrows. The front pup’s black and tan face, white chest and white socks stand out sharply, and along the top of the frame a line of trees sits against a pale, hazy evening sky.
How to play
Pick a piece count, then move pieces with a mouse or by touch. Correct fits click into place and lock. The finished image is there to preview whenever you like, and there’s no clock running.
Tips for solving this one
Build the front puppy first, since its black, tan and white markings are the clearest thing in the picture. Then do the brown sibling behind it. The tree line and pale sky make a distinct band across the top. The plowed earth fills most of the frame, so sort those pieces by how blurry they are and let the edges guide you.
Common questions
Is it free?
Yes. Every puzzle on the site is free, and you don’t need an account to play.
Does it work on a phone?
It does. The board fits a phone screen, though the wide stretch of brown earth is easier to sort on a tablet.
Can I change the difficulty?
Yes. Set the piece count before you start. The plowed field gets much tougher with more pieces.
Will it save my progress?
Progress is kept while the tab is open. Close it and the board resets for next time.
