More puzzles to play
A golden puppy has found a muddy puddle and is leaning right in to investigate it, front paws already caked in dark mud. The look of total concentration on that little face is the best part. This is serious work.
About this puzzle
By the look of those soft, feathery ears this is a Golden Retriever puppy, and the breed was developed in Scotland in the 1800s to fetch waterfowl from lakes and rivers. A love of water, and of getting thoroughly wet and muddy, comes built in.
In this photo the puppy’s pale golden coat glows in the sunlight against a background of green grass, dry straw and a blurred building. The muddy puddle sits in the middle of the frame, and the two dark, dripping paws tell you everything about how the afternoon is going.
How to play
Decide how many pieces you want, then drag them into place with a mouse or your finger. A piece that fits snaps and locks. Preview the full image any time you need it, and there’s no time limit.
Tips for solving this one
Start with the puppy’s head and ears, since the golden fur is the brightest thing in the picture. Then do the muddy paws, which give you a strong dark shape. The grass splits into bright green on the left and dry yellow on the right, so sort those before you start, and fill in the puddle last.
Common questions
Is it free?
Yes. All of our puzzles are free, with no sign up and nothing to pay.
Does it work on a phone?
It does. It plays fine on a phone, though the grassy background is easier to sort on a tablet.
Can I change the difficulty?
Absolutely. Set the piece count before you start. The grass and straw get much harder with more pieces.
Will it save my progress?
Progress is kept while the tab is open. Close it and you’ll begin again next time.
