About this puzzle
Icelandic horses stand only around 13 to 14 hands, which would make them ponies almost anywhere else. Icelanders won’t hear of it, though. They’re always called horses, and their small, stocky build is what lets them thrive outdoors through the island’s long, hard winters.
In the photo the horse’s coat is a mottled gray and white with a darker muzzle and legs, and its pale mane whips out to the right. The hillside behind is a patchwork of green and brown, with a mountain and a strip of pale sky in the top corner.
How to play
Set the number of pieces, then drag them into place by mouse or touch. A correct piece clicks in and locks. You can look at the finished image whenever you like, and there’s no timer running.
Tips for solving this one
Build the face first, working from the dark nostrils and eyes outward. Then tackle the mane, which has clear direction and texture. The body is mottled gray, so sort those pieces by how much white they show. The hillside splits into green lower slopes and brown, rocky upper ones, and the sky is a small patch in the top right.
