More puzzles to play
This little dark bay foal has flopped down in a field of grass and dandelions and is gazing off to the side, ears pricked, as if it’s not quite sure whether it’s meant to be napping or not. A white stripe down the face and the folded legs make it look even more like a baby.
About this puzzle
Foals can stand within an hour of being born and gallop within a day, but all that effort tires them out, and a young foal will nap for a good chunk of every hour. Lying down with the legs folded like this is a light doze. The deep sleep happens flat out on one side.
In the photo the foal’s fuzzy brown coat and white blaze stand out against the green, with pale hooves tucked underneath and a scattering of yellow dandelions dotted through the grass. The field is a soft, uniform green all around it, which keeps every bit of attention on the foal.
How to play
Set the number of pieces, then drag them into place by mouse or touch. A correct piece clicks in and locks. You can look at the finished image whenever you like, and there’s no timer running.
Tips for solving this one
The white blaze and the eye are the easiest pieces to place, so start there and build the head. Then work back along the body to the folded legs and pale hooves. The grass is one big green field, so use the yellow dandelions as landmarks and fill in the plain green last.
Common questions
Is it free?
Yes. There’s nothing to pay and nothing to sign up for. Pick a puzzle and start.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The board scales to your screen, though the wide green field is easier to sort on a tablet or laptop.
Can I change the difficulty?
Yes. Choose the piece count before you begin. More pieces make the grass a real test.
Will it save my progress?
Only for as long as the tab stays open. Close it and the board resets.
