Two little yellow chicks are standing in the grass, one right up front with its head turned to show a tiny orange beak and a bright black eye, the other peeking out from behind. They’re about as fluffy and round as a chick can get.
About this puzzle
Chicks are up and about within hours of hatching. They can walk, peck and find their own food almost straight away, which is unusual among birds, and they attach themselves to the first moving thing they see, usually the hen. That’s why a line of chicks will follow their mother anywhere.
In this photo the front chick’s pale yellow down catches the light against a soft green lawn, with its beak and eye giving the face its shape. The second chick sits slightly behind and to the left, and the grass blurs gently toward the top and bottom of the frame.
How to play
Set how many pieces you want and start dragging, by mouse or by touch. Matching pieces click together and lock. The finished image is a tap away if you need a look, and nothing’s timed.
Tips for solving this one
Begin with the two beaks and the eyes, then build each chick’s round yellow body outward. The edge where yellow fluff meets green grass is easy to follow. The grass itself is fairly even, so sort those pieces by how sharp the blades look and fill in the blurred top and bottom last.
