About this puzzle
This is actually a horse halfway through standing up. Horses rise front end first, rolling onto the chest, straightening the front legs and then pushing up with the back ones, the opposite of a cow. Catch a horse at the right moment and you get this wonderful dog on a rug pose.
In the photo the horse’s coat is a mix of gray and white dapples with a darker mane and a white blaze down its face. It sits on bare brown earth with a line of green trees, a white fence and a big sky full of puffy clouds behind it. The colors are bold and the light is bright.
How to play
Choose your piece count, then move pieces with a mouse or a fingertip. Correct fits snap into place and stay there. You can bring up the full picture whenever you like, and there’s no clock.
Tips for solving this one
Start with the face and the white blaze, then build the dappled body, sorting pieces by how dark the spots are. The legs and hooves are strong shapes against the dirt. The bright sky splits into plain blue and white cloud, and the green tree line makes a clear band between the sky and the ground.
