About this puzzle
The pale gray mare leads with her head up and mane flying, and the darker brown foal runs close against her flank with its own short mane bouncing. They move through a patch of rough pasture with some bare reddish earth showing through, and a low line of green scrub separates the field from a pale sky. The bright mare against the green is the easiest part to place.
A foal can gallop within a day of being born, an instinct that helped young horses keep up with a moving herd and stay near their mothers for safety. Mares and foals usually stay close for the first several months, with the foal weaning at around six months old.
How to play
